Banh Mi Saigon remains one of my favorites in all the city. Phenomenal value, good cold cuts and pickles, pillowy toasty bread. #4, cold-cut pate, and #1, roast ground pork, are my go-tos. Inflation makes a standard order of two half-sandwiches $9 (my 2017 review mentions $5.25), which remains a steal. We picked up 26 sandwiches to cater a party, and it was a MASSIVE hit. So many people asked where it was from. The workers packed the sandwiches clearly in seven bags, and it was a hilarious haul to truck back by subway.

this place was surprisingly really big for a fast restaurant in chinatown. it was fairly spacious and extended really far back into the kitchen. ordering was extremely easy, and I liked how they provide you with a ticketed number so that you can pick up your order once you're called. you can stand and eat on their spacious counter tops or take to go, which is very convenient. sandwich itself was fairly priced at $9, considering how big it was. I was not used to the minced bbq pork, as most places slice up the pork. I feel like they need to add a little more sauce, but overall it was a tasty and filling sandwich.

I grew up 3 blocks from the famous Ba Xuyen in Brooklyn, so I've been hard pressed to find something that can compete, but Banh Mi Saigon is running stiff competition. This place has been open since I was a kid (so for about 15-20 years), and I can see why the locals and hipsters keep coming back. Fair prices, quick service, and no frills. I came on a nondescript Wednesday late morning, and there were already 4 people queuing/waiting at any given time. I went for the lemongrass pork banh mi and since they were on offer, some of their fresh shrimp chips, which were a steal. I unfortunately could only consume it once I got to work about an hour later, and let me tell you, it was still one of the best lemongrass pork banh mi's I've had. My colleague also commented that the shrimp chips were perfect for her -- extremely crunchy, while not being too salty or oily. Overall, I have no complaints and have a new favourite if I ever crave banh mi in the city.

Very delicious Banh Mi at a very low price. Get a few, don't be foolish like me and only get one and realize your mistake much later when you finally tried it. The bread is really fresh and all the flavors of the Banh Mi play really well together. They have no seating, but you can always lean on the side counters they have and eat while standing.

Really delicious spot for banh mi sandwiches! They have a huge variety from the classic barbecue pork to curry chicken and even beef stew (per my friends, the beef tastes like pho!). The sandwiches are quite large and cut in half, and was enough for me for dinner! I got the barbecue pork ($10), which was super succulent and well flavored. I got mine with extra pickled veggies (an additional dollar), though I'd maybe recommend getting extra meat instead (+$2) as they give a good amount of veggies already. I also wouldn't sleep on the other kinds of sandwiches that they have. I had a bite of the curry chicken and thought it was delicious / the one I'd get next time! I do wish they'd open later, as they close at 5:30 pm every day, so it was hard to squeeze this in for after dinner, but I'm glad we did! The restaurant itself is small with limited seating, so it's more of a takeout place. The line (if any) moves quickly, and the service was fast and efficient.

I got the Banh Mi Saigon sandwich and added pate. In total, it cost me $10 and was a generous portion. This was some of the best banh mi I've tried in the city! The bread was crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. It came packed with a lot of veggies (the pickled carrots were my favorite) and there was a lot of bbq pork inside too. I liked how they had a large menu, so I'll definitely come again to try a different banh mi! They accept credit card payments. You can eat inside where they have ledges across the walls, but there's no seating so you have to stand. Waited around 10 min for my order to be ready

After a lifetime of amazing banh mi in both Norcal and Socal, I've finally found a banh mi spot in Manhattan that could scratch the itch. Under ten dollars, authentic ingredients and selection... what's not to like? Pictured is the #1 Banh Mi Saigon which is a bbq pork with a little bit of vietnamese meatloaf (cha). I alternate between this and #13 which features all of the viet cold cuts I'm used to having. Number one pro tip is that you can order your sandwiches "for tomorrow" (just say exactly that!). Then they'll package the veggies and pickles separately from the meat and bread so it doesn't get soggy.

Have tried so many banh mis all over NYC and Banh Mi Saigon has always been the best. Favorite and go-to order is #1 BBQ Pork. No one does the BBQ Pork like they do--it's minced pork that's caramelized and has the perfect balance of sweet and savory. You can ask for it packed "For Tomorrow," which means that they pack the veggies in a bag on the side so you can assemble it on your own. The pickled radish and carrots make the bread soggy if you don't eat it for a few hours, so I would recommend asking for it to be packed "for tomorrow" if you are planning to have it later in the day. Be prepared for a wait. This place gets busy no matter which day/time we stop by. There aren't any tables and chairs inside, just a bar along the wall where you can stand and eat your sandwich as you please, but it's probably best to eat it outside or take it home as it does get crowded inside.

Some say this is where you get the best banh mi in Chinatown. We love ourselves a good Vietnamese sandwich and so does everybody at this Chinatown staple. When you come here, you must order the BBQ pork sandwich for $9! They're gonna ask if you want spicy or not - you can't go wrong with either or, but we like the spicy version. The baguette bread here is crispy on the outside without being too scratchy or hard on the top of your mouth. It's soft on the inside, so it's easy to bite, & the BBQ pork here is not too sweet - it's tender and savory. The vegetables are fresh, crisp, and pickled without being too sour or overpowering. Every bite is full of flavor and different textures. We love a good banh mi!

Left work early to take advantage of the spring like weather and was in the mood for a Bahn Mi. I decided to walk to Chinatown, Grand Street to be exact. I Yelped Bahn Mi and Bahn Mi Saigon popped up. It was a cool to walk through Little Italy, bustling with people as always. And of course, Chinatown celebrating Lunar New Year. I didn't know what to expect as I opened the door to BNS.. but wow! a line almost out the door. Bahn Mi Saigon is a Bahn Mi Delicatessen! You enter, wait on order line, place order get numbered ticket and wait for your number to be called. Menu is posted near order line. There are numerous varieties of Bahn Mi sandwiches, summer rolls buns and salads. My wait was around ten minutes the only problem was no seating thus I took my order and walked Mott Street and...
